- Make an Impact! Make an impact on your patient’s life as a Physician Assistant, a licensed medical provider, for the Neurosurgery team. Under the supervision of an attending surgeon/physician, you would be aiding in the management of your patients in a variety of areas: outpatient, inpatient, peri-operative and intra-operative care. You would extend the services of the attending surgeon/physician by: acting as a liaison for the supervising physician, obtaining histories, performing physical examinations, ordering and interpreting imaging, laboratory and other diagnostic tests, prescribing medications & therapies, performing and assisting in common bedside/office procedures, as well as assisting in the operating room.

Position: Physician Assistant PA-C - Perioperative
Shift: Full Time - 40 hours a week - Monday-Friday, weekend requirement, no holidays!
Experience:
2 years' experience as a Physician Assistant or Board-Eligible Graduate preferred.
Education:
1. Bachelor’s degree required.
2. Must be a graduate of an accredited physician assistant/surgical assistant program.
Licensures/Certifications:
1. Must be Certified ( PA-C ) or new graduate who is eligible for certification by the NCCPA (National Commission for Certification of Physician Assistants).
2. Active license with Pennsylvania State Board of Medical Education and Licensure.
3. Provider BLS (American Heart Assoc/American Red Cross) required.
4. ACLS certification required.
5. Additional certifications specific to specialty may be required or preferred.
6.. Refer to the Specialty Addendum.
7.Successful completion of the MLH credentialing process through the Medical Staff office, with temporary or permanent privileges approved.
This position requires you to wear a respirator as part of the job requirement.
